The Indian way as I mentioned earlier, was to use things until they are totally wasted! My maid’s broken flip-flops will give a better idea. Thank god for safety pins, she can now continue to use them. JPS: She wore them like that for a week, but now she has a brand new pair of flip-flops, so no worries J
India is one of the biggest recylcers in the world. Not by choice I am sure but we use and reuse all we can - good for the pocket and the earth too :)
ReplyDeleteI agree. I think re-cylcing comes naturally to Indians. Even I would have probably used the safety pin; the flip-flops are still good to use! ;)
